Cronenberg's
first 'mainstream' film, and definitely one of the grossest,
prompting one reviewer to claim it as "the most repulsive
movie I have ever seen". Mad scientist Emil Hobbes develops
a bizarre parasite that infects its victims with simultaneous
sex- and blood- lust. The parasite is let loose in a high-rise
apartment building (a situation reminiscent of J.G. Ballard's
dystopian classic, 'High Rise'),
where the inhabitants quickly devolve into flesh-tearing sex-slaves.
An ironic (and starkly honest) meditation on human desire,
'civilization' and animal lust; highly apropos topics for
a film shot in Montreal!
Le

déjà décrit de: "film le plus répugnant
que j'ai jamais vu". Un savant fou crée un parasite
bizarre qui infecte ses victimes d'une soif de sexe et de
sang. Le parasite est lâché dans une tour d'apartements,
où les résidents se transforment bientôt
en esclaves à l'affût de chair humaine. Un regard
